JD's Manitoba roots run deep, having been born and raised in the province with strong ties to the McPhillips area. As a steadfast community leader committed to fostering positive change, JD has contributed his time and expertise to the Sikh Society of Manitoba, serving on its board of directors for a decade, including his most recent role as Vice-President. He held the position of Director of Government and Community Engagement at the University of Manitoba, an institution from which he is also an alumnus. JD is also director for Manitoba Public Insurance.
