Treaty 1 and Dakota Territory, Homeland of the Red River Métis, Winnipeg MB –Today Premier-designate Wab Kinew announced his senior appointments. 

Mark Rosner will serve as Chief-of-Staff in the Premier’s Office. Mr. Rosner was Chief-of-Staff in the NDP Leader’s Office in opposition and was Deputy Campaign Manager during the recent campaign. 

Emily Coutts will serve as Principal Secretary in the Premier’s Office. Ms. Coutts was Director of Communications in the NDP Caucus office and was Political Director during the recent campaign. 

Rebecca Widdicombe will serve as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Premier’s Office. Ms. Widdicombe was Communications Officer in the NDP caucus office and was platform lead and Director of Communications during the recent campaign. 

Mr. Rosner will co-chair the transition process with Brian Topp.  

Mr. Topp was the Manitoba NDP’s campaign director during the 2023 campaign. He previously served as Chief of Staff to Alberta Premier Rachel Notley, and as Deputy Chief of Staff to Saskatchewan Premier Roy Romanow.
