Lisa is a former Winnipeg School Division Trustee and a former counsellor at the Women’s Health Clinic. She is a feminist activist who worked in front-line social services and community health for thirty years while also serving on the boards of a several community organizations. Her political service is a natural extension of this work. She knows that addressing poverty, housing, racism, and healthcare inequities is the path to a healthy, thriving community. Lisa believes well-being for all includes addressing the climate crisis with the urgency it demands. First elected in Wolseley in 2019, she has served as the NDP’s Critic for Environment and Climate Change, Critic for Municipal Relations, NDP spokesperson on 2SLGBTQ+ issues and the Deputy Caucus Chair. Lisa has lived with her family in Wolseley for 24 years.
